2013 Minor Bantam Boys win bronze in their division

The KYBA Cavalier Minor Bantam Boys' went into the Ontario Cup in Kingston on a 5 game winning streak, clinching a gold medal at the Blessed Sacrament Tournament in Hamilton.

However, the Ontario Cup did not start well with a first game loss to Stoney Creek. The KYBA Cavaliers regained their composure in their second game and defeated the #1 ranked team in the division from Cambridge by a score of 83-47.

The next and final game of the round robin pitted the Cavaliers against the undefeated Hamilton team. In order for the Cavs to advance to the playoffs, not only did they have to win the game, but had to win the game by a margin of at least 10 points. They won the game 57-34 to advance to the final four.

Unfortunately the Cavaliers lost the semi-final to a well disciplined team from Tecumseh. Many enthusiasts and followers said that this was the gold medal match of the tournament. 

The Cavaliers had to face Stoney Creek again in the bronze medal game. The Cavs took control of the game within the first few minutes with their relentless defense and never looked back winning the bronze 73-55!
