KYBA Scholarships

The Kanata Youth Basketball Association (KYBA) has been setup with the mandate to promote basketball to Kanata youth at all levels through both house league and competitive programs. In the over 20 years that the KYBA has existed, over 3,000 youth have participated in the basketball program.

Scholarship Program
Starting in 2004, the KYBA has decided to award four (4) annual scholarships of $500.00 each, two to be known as the KYBA Chris Paulin Memorial Scholarships and two to be known as the KYBA Jack Donohue Memorial Scholarship. The Chris Paulin Memorial Scholarships will be for one male and one female previous KYBA house league participant while the Jack Donohue Memorial Scholarships will be for one male and one female previous competitive participant.

The KYBA congratulates the winners of these scholarships and wishes them well in all their future endeavours.

Scholarship winners for 2008
 The 2008 winners of the Chris Paulin Memorial Scholarships are Tesni Ellis and Michael Giles both from Earl of March High School. The 2008 winners of the Jack Donohue Memorial Scholarships are Hannah Tokaryk from AY Jackson and Vikas Bhasker from Earl of March High School.

Scholarship winners for 2007
The 2007 winners of the Chris Paulin Memorial Scholarships are Esha Harish and Kang Kang both from Earl of March High School. The 2007 winners of the Jack Donohue Memorial Scholarships are Zhen Xu from Earl of March High School and Christian Toarta from All Saints High School.

Scholarship winners for 2005
The 2005 winners of the Chris Paulin Memorial Scholarships are Elaine Larsen and Mark Westman from AY Jackson High School. The 2005 winners of the Jack Donohue Memorial Scholarships are Adam Verrechia from Earl of March High School and Lauren Charleau.

The 2004 winners of the Chris Paulin Memorial Scholarships are Benjie Garonce from AY Jackson High School and Julie Sawyer from Holy Trinity High School.The 2004 winners of the Jack Donohue Memorial Scholarships are Josh Neville from AY Jackson High School and Sarah Grant from Sacred Heart High School.
